Questions buyers ask
RCN or CNK: what is the difference?
RCN is the raw nut in its shell, traded on outturn. CNK is the shelled, graded kernel: WW180 is the largest, WW320 the most traded. We supply both.
Why buy from Tanzania, not via Vietnam or India?
Over 90% of Tanzania's crop leaves raw and is processed abroad. Buying at origin cuts a trader margin and an ocean trip.
What does "kernels on arrival" mean?
RCN is available now. Kernels come as processed lots arrive; we plan your allocation in writing.
Where are Dar es Salaam and Mtwara?
Both are on Tanzania's coast. Dar es Salaam is the main port. Mtwara, in the south-east, is the cashew belt with Lindi and Ruvuma, and Mtwara port is the only export port for their RCN.
Why is Global Harvest in both places?
Mtwara is where we collect, check and ship RCN. Dar es Salaam is our head office and kernel export port.
When do I see your company documents?
Once order, delivery terms, proforma and payment terms are agreed. Both sides disclose before signing the SPA.
What are the payment terms?
Set per order and per client. First orders usually start with at least 40% in advance.
What is the minimum order?
One 20ft container for a first export order. Local and regional minimums are agreed on the call.
Where do you ship from?
RCN: FOB Mtwara (Incoterms 2020). Kernels: FOB Dar es Salaam, or by road within East Africa. Tanzanian kernels move duty-free in the EAC with a certificate of origin.
Can you supply buyers in China?
Yes. Tanzanian cashews have had Chinese access since June 2026, at zero duty. We coordinate exporter registration.
How do samples work?
About 1 kg per kernel grade by courier from Dar es Salaam. Lot test results for RCN.
Can I invest, not just buy?
